Katharine is an independent dance artist and teaches a variety of contemporary and creative classes across Sussex and London. She graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2015, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Dance with Distinction. Following this she completed a Specialist Diploma Choreological Studies from Laban.

Katharine has a particular passion for inclusive practice and has been a facilitator for Magpie Dance since 2016. She is an Associate Artist for Parable Dance and has previously worked for Arts Odyssey, Trinity Laban and Rounded Rhythm. Katharine also has specialist training in Dance for Parkinson’s: she is the founder of Create Dance Parkinson’s Lewes and co-founded Dance for Parkinson’s, Brighton. She is also the founder of Story Moves: Creative Dance for Early Years. She has been involved with a range of artistic projects in Sussex exploring the interface between dance, photography, film and landscape. She received a Jack Petchey Award in 2020 for her teaching practice. www.katharineleroux.co.uk
