Could you spare a few hours a week to help support people with learning disabilities? Together, you and Magpie Dance can make a difference to the lives of many.
You don’t need any dance or teaching experience, or experience of working with people with learning disabilities; all you need is some free time, a desire to help others and an open mind. It’s an exciting opportunity for you to get involved with a pioneering dance charity and empower people with learning disabilities through dance.
We have something for everyone who wants to volunteer here at Magpie Dance. No matter how much time you have to give, there are plenty of ways to help from volunteering in our weekly sessions to being a helping hand backstage at a performance. It's not all about the bucket shaking and many of our volunteers use their experiences with us to enhance their own careers. Whatever you can do as a Magpie Dance volunteer, you'll be at the heart of it all and making a difference to our small charity; helping to empower people with learning disabilities, have fun and change lives - including your own.
With so much talent, hard work and enthusiasm from everyone involved, Magpie Dance will undoubtedly continue to evolve.
Magpie Dance is amazing! I can't express enough its value in giving people with learning disabilities the chance to be and feel their best. I am so grateful for all the people I have met here and to have had a chance to witness and support their creativity.
Thank you so much for letting me volunteer, it has been great. And you're such a nice company to work with!
