We were delighted to kick of 2020 with our annual pantomime visit to The Churchill Theatre to see Aladdin. Magpie Dancers enjoyed a pantomime tea party before seeing the show and even got to meet the star of the show and panto dame Christopher Biggins.
Christopher Biggins met the dancers, joined in with the fun of music, tea and cakes, a raffle (where he drew the prizes), and posed for pictures. Magpie Dance’s Youth Patron, actress Kellie Shirley, also joined in with the fun as well as watching the show with the dancers and their families.
Magpie Dance’s Executive Director, Laura Graham, commented:
“We always love watching the Churchill Theatre’s pantomimes as you’re guaranteed an excellent show. Christopher Biggins popping into our tea party was fantastic, he was brilliant with our dancers (who were very excited to meet him!) and it was the cherry on the top of a wonderful afternoon”.
Everybody had a great afternoon and it made for a great start to our 35th anniversary year!
